Tile glue use steps:
Grassroots treatment → tile adhesive mixing → batch scraping tile adhesive → tile laying
1. Cleaning of the base layer The base layer to be tiled should be flat, clean, firm, free of dust, grease and other dirt and other loose matter, and the release agent and release powder on the back of the tile should be cleaned up for later use.
2. Mix and stir the tile adhesive according to the water-powder ratio of 1:4 (1 pack of 20kg tile adhesive plus 5kg water) first add an appropriate amount of water into the mixing tank, then pour the tile adhesive into the mixing tank, and use electric stirring while adding Stir with a mixer until there are no lumps or lumps. After mixing well, it needs to stand for 5 minutes, and then stir for 1 minute to use
3. Before batch scraping tile adhesive tiles, the base surface is wetted with appropriate amount of water, and the glue is applied to the base surface to be tiled with a toothed scraper, and then hold the toothed scraper so that the tooth edge and the base surface are at 45° Comb the glue layer into a uniform strip; at the same time, spread the glue evenly on the back of the tile
4. Paving and laying tiles Lay and press the tiles that have been scratched with tile adhesive to the tile base, rub slightly in the direction perpendicular to the carding direction to remove the air in the tiles, and tap the surface of the tiles with a rubber hammer until the slurry is released around the tiles to ensure that the tiles on the back of the tiles The glue has been spread evenly.
The basic feature of the thin paste method is to use a professional tile adhesive and a toothed scraper to scrape the tile adhesive into stripes at the base of the construction, and then lay the tiles.
The thickness of the tile adhesive used in the thin paste method is generally only 3-5mm, which is much thinner than the traditional thick paste method.
Thick tile method
The tile thick sticking method is the most traditional way of sticking, using traditional cement and sand, adding water to the construction site, thick plaster sticking method, the thickness of cement mortar is generally 15-20mm.
What is the difference between the tile thin paste method and the thick paste method?
1. Different material requirements:
Thin paste method: tile adhesive is used when paving, and it can be used directly by mixing water, no need to mix cement mortar on site, the quality standard is easy to grasp, the bonding strength is relatively high, and the construction efficiency is greatly improved.
Thick paste method: It is necessary to mix cement and sand with water to prepare cement mortar. Therefore, whether the cement ratio is reasonable, whether the amount of materials is in place, and whether the mixing is uniform will affect the quality of the cement mortar.
2. Different technical level requirements:
Thin paste method: Due to the simple operation, professionally trained workers can use ready-mixed tile adhesive for paving, the efficiency of paving is greatly improved, and the construction period is faster.
Thick paste method: skilled workers are required to lay the tiles. If the paving process is not in place, it is easy to cause problems such as hollowing and cracking of the tiles, and it is difficult for paving workers with insufficient skills to lay the tiles evenly.
3. The process requirements are different:
Thin paste method: In addition to the need for base treatment and roughening of the wall, the flatness of the wall is higher. Generally, the wall needs to be leveled, but the tiles do not need to be soaked in water.
Thick pasting method: The wall needs to be treated and roughened at the base level, and can be paved after treatment; tiles need to be soaked in water.
Advantages of tile thin paste method
1. The construction efficiency of workers is high, and the requirements for the proficiency of bricklayers are relatively low.
2. Because the thickness is much lower, it can save a lot of space.
3. Better quality, extremely low hollowing rate, not easy to crack, strong firmness, slightly expensive but acceptable.
Advantages of tile thick paste method
1. The labor cost is relatively cheaper.
2. The requirements for basic flatness are not so high.
