Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) in wet-mix mortar
The role of HPMC in wet-mixed mortar
Wet-mixed mortar is cement, fine aggregate, admixture, water and various components determined according to performance. According to a certain proportion, after being measured and mixed in the mixing station, it is transported to the place of use by a mixer truck, and put into a special The wet mix is stored in the container and used within the specified time.
Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose is used as a protective agent for the cement slurry and as a retarder to make the slurry pumpable. Hydroxypropyl-Methyl Cellulose HPMC Cellulose’s moisturizing ability as a viscous solution increases the effectiveness of the dab and extends the working time. This allows the sesame to not crack too quickly after lubrication and to increase strength after drying. . Hydrochloric acid is an important performance of HPMC to hydrolyze cellulose, and it is a manufacturer of many pulps in China. Factors affecting wet slurry include HPMC addition amount, HPMC viscosity, particle fineness and ambient temperature.
The important role of HPMC in wet mix is mainly reflected in three aspects: one is good water retention capacity, the other is the influence on the consistency and sensory deformation of wet mix, and the other is the interaction with cement. The amount of cellulose ether depends on the uptake of water by the substrate, the composition of the sand, the thickness of the layer, the need for water in solution, and the condensation time of the material.
Moisture retention factors affecting hydrolyzed cellulose include pulp viscosity, addition amount, particle fineness and temperature. The thicker the cellulose ether, the better the water resistance. Viscosity is an important performance parameter of HPMC. For the same product, the viscosity results measured by different methods vary greatly, and some even reach geometric progression. Therefore, to compare viscosities, it needs to be done between the same test methods, including temperature, spindle, etc.
Generally speaking, the higher the viscosity, the better the waterproof performance. But the greater the increase in viscosity, HPMC, the higher the molecular weight, the lower the solubility properties, the solution is strong, and the properties are negatively affected. The higher the viscosity, the better the thickening effect in solution, but not directly proportional to the ratio. The higher the viscosity, the wetter and more viscous the solution, when building, shows high resistance in the presence of sticky blades and materials. But adding structural strength to the wet mortar itself won’t help. When the two buildings were built, it was found that the anti-mosquito function was missing. In contrast, some low-viscosity post-modified methacrylic acid, while cellulose improves wet solution and structural strength, has excellent properties.
