How to choose the right HPMC
1. According to the model: According to the different formulas of various putties, the viscosity models of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and methylcellulose are also different. They are used from 40,000 to 100,000. At the same time, the fiber Vegetarian ether cannot replace the role of other binders, adding cellulose ether does not mean that the ingredients of other binders can be reduced.
2. Do you need cold water dispersible cellulose ether: Cellulose ether (including hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and methylcellulose) is a surfactant with high viscosity after dissolution. It is the reason of this nature that if ordinary cellulose ether is added to water, it is easy to form a ball, and the outside of the ball has been dissolved into a very thick solution, and the inside is wrapped, and it is difficult for water to penetrate in, resulting in poor dissolution. . The surface-treated cellulose ether (which can delay dissolution) will not be like this, and can be well dispersed in cold water (delay dissolution, and gradually dissolve after dispersion). It is a good choice to understand the above differences.
1. For the dry-mixed interior and exterior wall putty, because the cellulose ether has been well dispersed in the material during the dry-mixing process, there will be no agglomeration. Therefore, it is recommended to use common type (non-cold water dispersion type), because the dissolution rate of common type is faster than that of cold water dispersion type, which shortens the waiting time from mixing slurry to construction.
2. For the preparation of putty that directly dissolves cellulose ether (including hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and methylcellulose) in water and mixes it with other materials, it is recommended to use cold water dispersion type cellulose ether. The surface-treated cellulose ether can be well dispersed in cold water and dissolved (can delay dissolution)
